Why Restore? Grow Confident in God
How confident are you in your God?
We believe that He exists, and we know in our minds that He loves us. Yet we are still overwhelmed by life, and unsure how the Gospel makes any difference. We struggle, and the questions rise. “Why does God feel so distant? “Does God really love me?” “Does He even know what’s going on in my life?”
We know about God’s love, but we don’t experience it. We wonder whether He loves us when we experience heartbreak, we worry if He’s in control when the world feels chaotic, and we question if He really cares when our plans are disappointed. We don’t know how our stories are shaped by God’s. Our reality is disconnected from His. These doubts put us in a vulnerable place. They leave us open to the schemes of the enemy, and we can lose confidence in God.
When we don’t understand the hurtful parts of our story, it damages our soul. We place our hope in things that will never truly fill it; we look for things to ease our pain that never can; we become weary and cynical.
Do these thoughts feel familiar? You’re not alone in these doubts. They are not something new.
But God is inviting us into something better.
John 10:10 says “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
God wants His people to have abundant confidence in His love. God invites His people into His story--and His story will transform us. Restore: Changing How We Live and Love was made for that very purpose.
You may not be confident in God and His love right now, but you can be. Through Restore, you will take a journey that starts with your story, and then works through God’s. God will change how you live and love as He reframes how you understand your life in Christ, restores your broken soul, and redeems the painful parts of your story. Whether you work through the study on your own or as a community, you will experience God’s love, and grow in confidence of His presence, promises, and power.
God wants you to walk confidently in His joy. He wants you to know that He is near. He wants you to abide in Him through His Word and His church. Will you join us in Restore, as we reclaim our confidence in His love?
