We learn and grow most in community.

ABIDE Cohort

The ABIDE Cohort is for church and nonprofit leaders who want to learn and experience how abiding in Christ serves as the focus, means, and goal of discipleship, care, and community.

TEAM Cohort

The TEAM Cohort is for pastors desiring training for and with their staff along with spouses. The goal is to build a strategic ministry core team who can equip others across the Church for discipleship, care, and community.

“There are two ways to live the Christian life. You can live it either for the heart of Christ or from the heart of Christ.”

— Dane Ortlund, Gentle and Lowly

“Through Restore, we began to see that we needed this for ourselves as leaders. This discipleship framework has changed how we see and do ministry from the pre-school to the pulpit.”

Hear from husband and wife, Johnny and Lori Pereira, from Salem Chapel in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Johnny serves as the Senior Pastor and Lori is the Elementary Director. In this video, they share their experience participating in a TEAM Cohort. They began to see how care is not separate from discipleship but rather, discipleship involves care.

FAQs

Which cohort should I choose?

The ABIDE Cohort is for church leaders to learn, grow, and collaborate with other churches from around the country while a TEAM Cohort is for your church leadership.

As a pastor, who should I encourage to join the cohort with me?

We recommend lead pastors join both cohorts, whether for the opening retreat or for the entire cohort. As you consider which cohort to join, we suggest selecting strategic leaders who comprise your core ministry team along with their spouses to experience training, renewal, and care.

What is the expected time commitment?

Team Cohorts include an opening and closing retreat over the course of two weekends on-site at your church. In addition, you’ll also get to experience eight 2-hour weekly zoom calls that allow ministry leaders and their spouses to learn the Restore framework, connect and encourage one another in a small group setting, and experience God as they work through the Restore lessons.

ABIDE Cohorts include an opening retreat hosted in Louisville, KY along with 5 months of personalized coaching via Zoom with other like-minded leaders.

What topics + training will be offered?

We’ll introduce and teach a robust and reproducible discipleship framework that addresses your story as well as God’s story of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Consummation. We will give you tools to help you to abide in Christ as you live in a broken world. We’ll coach you in the areas of discipleship, care, community, and more.

Is a cohort online or on-site?

Both! The cohorts offer the unique opportunity to receive and experience ministry training both online and on-site, meaning that the cohorts begin with an in-person retreat along with online equipping and coaching for between 4-6 months through interactive sessions.

How will I benefit from a cohort?

Many leaders can personally attest to the two-fold vision we have for these cohorts. You too can experience ministry coaching leaving you not only equipped but also encouraged and refreshed. You will experience the care and comfort from the Lord and will be renewed to continue caring and ministering to your church.
